Jessica Lucena brings 15 years of experience to her role as associate coach and business development specialist at the Crystal-Barkley Corp. She has a B.S. in Management Communication and Public Relations from Emerson College; served as Communications Director, Esalen Institute Arts Festival; worked with teams to orchestrate large community-wide events: OPEN Arts Expo, Charleston, SC; Charleston Arts Coalition's Town Hall; First Night Boston's Millennial New Year's Day Percussion and Grand Procession; the Monterey World Music Festival; and the Governor's Ball at the 1997 Academy Awards.
As the first Executive Director of the Charleston Regional Alliance for the Arts, she helped to launch this effort; prior to that, contributed to creating a positive learning environment for students at the Tate Center for Entrepreneurship, School of Business at the College of Charleston, SC; was part of the team which salvaged arts funding at the Cultural Council for Monterey County, CA.
Jessica’s has always used her intuition, as well as process, to help others live out their dreams personally and professionally.
Bob Scudder began his association with Crystal-Barkley Corporation as a client. As a principle outcome of his immersion in our Life\Work Designtm program and through his work with his coach in the process, Nella Barkley, he re-discovered his passion for leading and nurturing others in pursuit of their own unique career and personal development. Bob's natural leadership style, developed over 22 years of naval service and 18 years in the private sector, is that of coach and mentor. He joined the Crystal-Barkley team in 2000 as a key course facilitator and coach.
Professional coaching has been his singular focus for the past eight years and he has coached hundreds of clients in executive/professional development, career transition, and life/work balance agendas. His five years in higher education as a teacher and researcher in organizational behavior and health services administration have contributed to his effectiveness as a mentor, coach and inspirational leader.
Teresa A. Whitt, known to us as Terry, serves as Crystal-Barkley’s Office Manager and is the point person for all administrative matters. She came to Crystal-Barkley from the teaching profession. She is a graduate of Wingate College in North Carolina with a degree in computer programming and, while she spends much of her time carrying on our internet correspondence, her most important responsibility is routing clients and potential clients to the right person at the right time and --- always on time.
